FAQ-Online training courses
Have you read the instructions on the login email?
Have you read the instructions on the main topic page within the online training programme?
Once you have decided on the online training course(s) you would like to undertake, add it/them to your cart and follow the prompts in the cart function (ie. billing details, person the course is for if it is not for you, payment process). Once this has been completed a login email will be sent to your email address.
You will be able to access and download the online completion certificate at the bottom of the main topic page in Moodle once all the requirements of the training have been met.
- Did you enter the correct email address when you registered?
- Have you checked your other email folders?
If you have checked these and still haven’t received your login details, then email PPS for assistance.
It is strongly recommended that the sequence of training is followed as key information may be missed (ie. Bronze, Silver, Gold)
An online training course should be completed within a six-month period once you have received your login details.
You can start the online training as soon as you receive your login email.
There are no set times, you can access the training anytime of the day.
The Bronze, Silver, Gold online training courses equates to approximately 10hrs of learning for each course.
The short online training courses range from approximately 30mins to an hour in length each.
Can You manage and monitor your own cohort as a coordinator. Yes, but you will need to email the Peak Performance team to learn more about how to get set up for this function.
Yes. All three Youth Development courses meet the International Award requirements of the Adventurous Journey training section.
No. There is no limit on how many online training courses you can do for the DofE Award. You can now do all of your Adventurous Journey training for Bronze, Silver and Gold levels online.
FAQ-How to purchase an online training course
There are now several ways that you can pay and register for any of the online training courses.
Single user wanting to purchase a single course or different courses for themselves or for someone else. ie. Son/daughter.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award training courses
- Once you have made your course(s) choice and added them to the cart, you will now need to go to the checkout and pay for them.
- Fill out the details on the billing and address form paying attention that you have entered all the correct information.
- At the bottom of the page there is provision to add the details of the person who is undertaking the course(s) if they are different to the billing address person.
- Once the payment process is complete you will receive an email with login details.
Group purchases. If you are buying the same course multiple times.
- Once you have made your course choice and added it to the cart, you will now need to go to the checkout and pay for them.
- Fill out the details on the billing and address form paying attention that you have entered all the correct information.
- At the bottom of the page there is provision to add a group name. The group name is matched against the number of courses that you have purchased when you register the names of the users who will be undertaking the courses.
- Once the payment process is complete you will receive an email with login details.
Extra-large group purchases. If you are buying the same course in bulk. ie. For a year group of students.
- Once you have made your course choice and added it to the cart, you will now need to go to the checkout and pay for them.
- Fill out the details on the billing and address form paying attention that you have entered all the correct information.
- At the bottom of the page there is provision to add a group name. The group name is matched against the number of courses that you have purchased when you register the names of the users who will be undertaking the courses.
- Once the payment process is complete you will receive an email with login details.
- When the login window opens there is provision to upload a CSV file. (a sample format is provided on this page) Once the file is uploaded your users will be enrolled and sent a login email.
